Upon arrival, embark on your journey with a city tour of Reykjavik. Visit Harpa, an impressive concert hall, Parliament House and Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in Iceland. It is also one of the key landmarks of the city at about 74.5 metres tall, among the tallest structures in the country. Stop by the futuristic glass-domed Perlan and historical Hofdi House. Spend some free time strolling down Laugavegur known as “wash road", and one of the oldest shopping streets in the city before heading back to your hotel for your rejuvenating night rest.

After breakfast, your journey starts through Golden Circle, one of Iceland’s most popular tourists visited routes. Visit Thingvellir National Park, first national park of the country and a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Next, be mesmerized by the Geysir Geothermal Area known as “Home to the Great Geysir” before continuing to visit Gullfoss Waterfall. Stunning and known for its powerful force and beautiful scenery. Thereafter, proceed to Selfoss for your overnight stay.

Today, make your way to the Southern Coast of Iceland and be fascinated by the breath-taking Seljalandsfoss. This spectacular waterfall drops 20-meters down into a deep pool. Continue to drive pass Eyjafjallajokull, an ice-capped volcano, before stopping by Skogar to visit the famous Skogafoss. The waterfall is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country. Thereafter, drive to the charming village of Vik and stop by to view the basalt sea stalks of Reynisdrangar and Reynisfjara black sand beach. If time permits, you may wish to opt for the Glacier Walk at your own expense. This evening, head over to Jokulsarlon for your overnight stay.

This morning, visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, a large glacial lake in southern part of Vatnajokull National Park. The area developed into a lake after the glacier started receding in the late 19th century. Visit Diamond Beach, a black sand beach with icebergs from Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, known for its striking contrast. Thereafter, proceed to Egilsstadir for your overnight stay enroute to stop by Berufjordur for a photo-stop, a fjord in Eastern Iceland.

In the morning, take a scenic drive towards the Northern coast of Iceland with a visit to Namaskard, a geothermal region with boiling sulfuric mud springs and steam vents, it is located near a huge volcanic mountain of Krafla. Next, continue to Myvatn, a shallow lake situated in an area of active volcanism in the north of Iceland. It has a high amount of biological activity before stopping by Dimmuborgir, known as “the Black Fortress.” It is a dramatic expanse of lava in the Lake Myvatn area. After which proceed to view Godafoss, one of Iceland's gems at 12-meters in height and 30-meters in width. The waterfall is fed by the river Skjalfandafljot which runs in a 7000-year-old lava. In the evening, check-in your hotel at Akureyri, known as the capital of the North of Iceland.

Today, drive towards the exceptionally beautiful and magical Snaefellsnes Peninsula, known for its dramatic landscape. Dominated by Snaefellsjokull Volcano, which is topped by a glacier. Stop by and visit the spectacular town of Grundarfjordur and visit the Kirkjufell, one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones season 6 and 7 which contains volcanic rock but is not itself a volcano.

This day, stop by Hraunfossar, a series of beautiful waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming out of the Hallmundarhraun lava field. Next, proceed to view Barnafoss, a rapid waterfall in West Iceland before making your way back to Reykjavik. Enroute, travelling across Hvalfjordur Tunnel, the 5,770-meters-long tunnel through a deep fjord. In the afternoon, proceed to Blue Lagoon where you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip at the world-renowned Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa. The area is famous for its mineral-rich seawater and silica mud. Not forgetting to savour a delightful lagoon drink.

Today, spend the day at leisure. Do not miss an opportunity to go on an optional Icelandic horseback riding tour at your own expenses. You may also consider walking around the street for a cuppa coffee at your own pace.
